Our complete Tree Fruit Program allows us to participate fully in a California Tree Ripe Program. Because of the proximity of the field to the cold storage (95% of the tree fruit is grown within 7 miles of the cold storage) the fruit is able to hang 1 to 2 days longer on the tree to maximize color and flavor.

Fruit Integrity

We will bring fruit to its full potential on the tree or vine and then protect its intrinsic quality to achieve consumer satisfaction.  This means waiting for optimum maturity even when the market is short.  Handling from field to packinghouse, fruit will be continually monitored to eliminate bruising, which correlates to decay when fruit breaks refrigeration.

In-House Testing

In the packinghouse we will enforce scrupulous hygienics to attain pathogen control.  This will be accomplished in-house in a state-of-the-art laboratory run by our dedicated post harvest technologist.  Individual lots will be selected to your preferences.  Proper (cold) temperatures will protect fruit quality in transit.  A sample of each lot will be retained at room temperature to simulate performance at retail.

Our efficient and experienced quality control team constantly monitors all fruit through the entire process while maintaining a database on each lot of fruit! 

Quality Control

Fruit Patch works closely with the field staff to ensure a uniform and mature pick by generally picking more often than years past.  Every load that comes to the packing shed is inspected by our quality control team.  In the cold storage, quality control teams monitor the inventory constantly to make sure the product in storage is still in optimal condition.  We are confident that our staff will provide reliable, consistent service before and after the sale to ensure that our customers are getting the quality in the product they were promised.
