Growing

95% of Fruit Path Orchards are within 7 miles of the packing facility

Because of the close proximity of the fields to the cold storage the fruit is able to hang 1 to 2 days longer on the tree to maximize color and flavor. This also allows Fruit Patch pickers to be pickier about consistently higher maturity, for higher sugar and a tree ripe flavor. Picking highly mature fruit allows the fruit to store better, ship better and eat better when ripened.

Manicured Orchards

In 2001, when the California Tree Fruit Agreement (CTFA) wanted to take photographs of orchards and a packing facility to represent the California tree fruit industry, Fruit Patch was selected because our facility and cultural practices are second to none.

Uniform practices are applied across all 16,000 Fruit patch acres, and that applies to young orchards, the best varieties, the best soils, wider orchard spacing, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and picking fruit at high maturity.
