Fruit Patch Packing Facility

It has been said " You can't judge a book by it's cover" or "Beauty is only skin deep", These sayings may or may not be true, but we are awfully proud of our plant - not just the outside, but the inside as well. We believe our plant is a reflection of the way we do business. The plant is clean and straightforward, well designed and has the ability to pack tree fruit in great volume with a high level of quality in a variety of different pack styles. Do we show our plants off? You bet! It was thoughtfully designed by Anthony and Vince Balakian. Many high ranking chain store buyers have toured the plant and have commented that they have never seen a plant as clean and well designed as ours.

The Best Soil Most Fruit Patch orchards are located on Hanford Sandy Loam Class 1 soil. This type of soil is widely regarded to be the "Best of the Best" of soils for growing peaches, nectarines, and plums.

Fruit Patch Orchards 95% of fruit Patch Orchards are within 7 Miles of the Packing facility. Because the orchards are close by, Fruit Patch pickers are more picky about consistently higher maturity - for higher sugar and tree ripe flavor.

Fruit Patch Fruit Gets Cold Fast As soon as its picked the Fruit Patch fruit is transported to the packing facility where the fruit is immediately cooled to 34*. Other Shipper fruit often times sits for hours in the summer heat before enough is accumulated to make a truck load.

Fruit Patch Fruit Gets Packed The Same Day Its Picked By employing four short, straight, small pack lines. Short - For less mechanical "Touches" of the fruit. Straight - When fruit "turns" a corner it piles up and spins, which becomes roller bruising. Four Packing Lines - That way Fruit Patch can pack white peaches, yellow peaches, nectarines, and plum simultaneously to get your truck out on time.

Don't For Get Hand Packed Tray Packs And Volume Fill That's not a typographical error. All fruit is hand packed. Fruit Patch is the only major valley packing facility in the San Joaquin Valley to hand pack every box.
