Fruit Patch has perfected the ripening process to ensure delivery of the juiciest, sweetest and best tasting fruit to our consumers. There are two methods used to ripen our fruit:
Pre-ripening
Only the strongest varieties are selected
Upon harvest, each lot is checked for quality, brix and pressures
For the sweetest and juiciest taste, only the first and second harvest picks are used
Fruit is held in our state-of-the-art ripening room, complete with computer controlled humidity and temperature settings
Fruit is constantly monitored for any reduction in pressure and increase in juiciness
Random sampling is conducted to ensure ideal flavor during and after the packing process
Tree Ripening
All natural ripening occurs on the tree
Fruit is harvested at optimum maturity with ideal brix and pressures
Varieties are carefully selected for flavor and vibrant skin color
Each lot is checked for top quality before and after packing
